Company’s Offer Solution in Helping Publishers Maximize Revenue
LOS ANGELES (March 2, 2010) – While the “real world” economy still struggles to regain its footing, new numbers released today by Sometrics (www.Sometrics.com) demonstrate the virtual economy is robust and growing.
Sometrics today reports that the company has dispensed more than 1 trillion virtual currency credits to game users through its Offer Solution, which delivers high-quality offers and surveys to help game publishers increase advertising revenue from free-to-play gamers.
Sometrics is now connected to more than 100 million game user accounts in 228 different countries. The company’s products currently reside on hundreds of games, with an inventory of more than 7,500 advertiser-based offers.
Sometrics generates eCPMs as high as $700-$900 for its partners. Its Offer Solution reaches across social games, MMOs and virtual worlds, partnering with top publishers in each market – including Playdom, LOLapps, IMVU, K2, NHN, among others.
“A year ago we made a deliberate shift in our business to capitalize on what we saw as an emerging trend toward using virtual currency as a way to generate real revenue for publishers of online games and virtual worlds,” said Swanson. “We’ve been able to adapt as new needs arise and user behaviors evolve. Our success shows that we’re on the right track.”
Sometrics launched another of its powerful products, the Payment Manager, at last year’s Montgomery Technology Conference, and will be making another big announcement at this year’s event. The conference will be held March 9-10 in Santa Monica, Calif. Co-founder and CEO Ian Swanson will be presenting on March 9 at 5:45 p.m.
In addition to its Offer Solution, the Sometrics Payment Manager helps publishers manage payment options and optimize multiple offer providers from a single dashboard. On average, Sometrics partners have seen a 15 percent lift through optimizing third-party virtual currency offer providers and ad networks.
Over the past year, Sometrics began delivering branded video offers, and also launched a new in-game Shop & Earn Feed that enables consumers to earn virtual currency for games when they make online purchases at select brand-name retailers. Sometrics’ feed includes hundreds of global shopping offers from trusted, brand-name retailers.
“With all the achievement over the past year, we are excited and preparing for a year of continued and great success,” said Swanson.
